Added memory from the previous evening. As we teleported from the bath house to the house, Dallas told us in our minds “Do not forget our agreement”.

Today, Loki has granted Ehrman a boon in which he is able to make a hit when he would otherwise miss, once today.

I awake today to a breakfast laid out in presentation in my room. A woman named Katie Bell approaches us and tells us that she and her family are with us to keep the house and serve us. There are in fact nine servants who have taken up residence, performing various tasks around the house.

I have discovered that the two different types of teleport locations are as follows: Master teleport locations are connected, and those who can activate or deactivate them can use them to transport themselves and anyone with them to any other teleport location, known or unknown. Minor teleport locations may be used by someone with a Torc to transport to a location only know, not unknown. Additionally, each Torc seems to have a prime locations associated with it and the Torc scan freely transport to its own location.

First this morning, we have decided to make way to Vola to inform her of the counsel members involved in the festivities the previous night. Vola expresses interest in obtaining any Proselyte medallions and offers 100 gold for each one we bring her. We discuss a plan to go back down to the bath house with Vola to show her how to get through the secret passages. Vola desires us to take care of the golem guard as she fears for the safety of the city despite out assurances that the golem is likely a guard and would not leave the area to wreak havoc on the city.

We lead Vola to the tunnels. The smell is acrid. The area is warm from the fire, and there is a door partially blocked by fallen debris. We decide to send familiars through to inspect. There is extensive damage through the tunnels, and we discover a polluted water elemental who appears to be very angry and attempted to kill one of the familiars. Marius, who is able to speak with elementals, tries to communicate with the elemental. It is upset that the purity of the chambers that he calls home has been destroyed and completely polluted by the fire. Marius attempts to help, using a purify food and drink spell. I also decide to misty step past the debris and into the area and I attempt to use prestidigitation to assist, however, Marius does not end up needing any assistance. The elementals are grateful and bestow a favour on Marius, who asks for information about the tunnels, and to travel to the fountain near the portals to look for the golem. The elemental investigates and comes back to inform us that the golem is standing still in the room. Marius asks Vola if there are any teleportation circles in the city, to assess her knowledge of the teleportation system. She says yes and leads us upstairs to a large teleportation circle. The Torc warms around my neck and I am impressed upon that this is a master teleportation circle that they Torc has in fact been trying to lead me toward.

There is the teleport room and adjacent is a large room with a pool in the middle of it and there are levers which Vola explains have something to do with the location to which they teleport but that no one really understood how it works. I get an understanding in my mind from the Torc that the levers are for regular people. My Torc will enable me to activate it without the switches and can teleport me anywhere. We are told that a group of adventurers (of which Tucker was a part of) went through the portals and ended up on a blasted landscaped moon inundated with undead, and they narrowly escaped with their lives. I am impressed on that there are sixty-four teleport locations.

We discuss a plan to bring city guards to take down the golem. I tell Vola that I can get everybody in and out of the place using the teleportation room. However, I do not want to be questioned on the use of the teleportation system. I feel that that information was given to my by the Torc but was not meant to be shared with everyone, at least not yet.

I teleport everybody to the tunnels and everyone takes up formation in the room around the back of the golem. This far, the golem is stationary. The four water elementals that Marius helped earlier have appeared in the fountain directly behind the golem to help us at the request of Marius. Behind the elementals, we have nine human guards, followed by five mages, then Vola and her bodyguard Mara. Than our group follows up the rear. We begin to attack the golem, which takes the hits without activating. Then, we hear a hideous laugh. We look up to see the guest of last night’s festivities who is levitating above us through the trap door. This individual is upset that we ruined his night and proclaims that we will all die. He looks directly at me, and sensing that he was about to hit me with something extremely deadly, I call out to the Torc to take me (and it) to safety. I must protect the Torc at all costs. This evil must not possess it. I am transported back to the house where I pause briefly so as to avoid the attack, and then implore the Torc to once more teleport me to go back to help the others, and I appear once again back in the tunnels with my friends. I discover that this is a lich, and he has reactivated the golem and produced a noxious cloud in the room. Marius recognises this horrid lich as ‘Drazel the Necromancer’. Perrin attacks Drazel with lightning a Drazel gets very angry and disintegrates Perrin on the spot. Drazel declares “until next time”, and disappears leaving us in shock with a golem yet to slay. We slay the golem and divide up Perrin’s equipment. Ehrman receives most of it, and I receive his winged boots.

Marius mentions that Drazel was interested in the ‘Eye of Death’ and had joined with the Proselyte to use their resources to procure it. I must talk to the group about my book that I obtained from Grallis. Upon discussion, we have determined that Drazel is both a necromancer and a lich, and is the leader of an organisation composed of necromancers. The ‘Eye of Death’ is an object that can make undead creatures from any living material on a large scale. we decide to deactivate the teleportation circles from the interim to try to prevent anyone from sneaking up on us.

Just as I am beginning to deactivate the second portal, Ehrman yells that there are zombies littered through the complex. Vola and Mara rush away to check the toilets, and Ehrman stands at the door holding it closed as the zombies bang on the door from their side.

A battle ensues and we overcome the zombies. Only some of the bodies turn into zombies, so I throw a fireball into the dining room to be sure. Vola and Mara return from the toilets to report no zombies in there.

I appear to have killed a gnome in my zealous fireballing of the room. He had been running on the table. He appears to be an adventurer, and not a member of the Proselyte. He has no Proselyte medallion. I also find 25 gold pieces on his body, a short sword, 2 potions of unknown contents, and a backpack containing general adventuring equipment, including a large number of pitons and a length of rope.

There were five other corpses in the room. On these, we found: A shiny belt that may be magical which is silver, ornate, and thick; A dagger with a jewelled handle with an emerald imbedded in the handle; a Proselyte medallion with blood red metal on it; 57 gold pieces; four weapons; and another four regular Proselyte medallions. Vola recognises most of the dead bodies. The Dragonborn appears to have once been a very trusted comrade which is obviously very concerning to Vola. We notice that there are Thralls standing around the kitchen waiting for orders but we continue on, having more important things to do.

Instead of returning to the house, we go to the temple to ask for Eleanor. We are in need of a healer during our travels, and we wish for her to accompany us to the archives where we will research information for our quest.

We are approached by a group of ‘guard types’ wanting us to prove out relation to Tucker, to prove that we are worthy to speak to Eleanor the High Priestess. We convince them and speak with Eleanor. I show her my Torc in order to show her the importance of our quest. She then reveals a Torc on her own neck. Eleanor tells a large man to double the guards in the catacombs as the Proselyte are active. She says to send her regards to Scelara who is posted at the temple we are headed to. She agrees to have one of her priestesses accompany us to assist our adventures.

We return to the townhouse and I begin to identify our treasures. After having some difficulty, we proceed to rest for the night so that we may spend some time in the marketplace the following day.
